STREET DANCE CLASSES FOR KIDS
OUR FOUNDER
Rosie founded her Raynes Park Street Dance school in 2012 and has been running successful Street Dance classes for kids of all ages in the Raynes park and Wimbledon community ever since. Her dance school recently expanded, opening up a new location with kids dance classes in Worthing, West Sussex.
She currently acts as a mentor to trainee teachers at The Royal Academy of Dance and teaches those studying for their PGCE at the RAD how to deliver street dance sessions in schools.
In addition to this, she teaches workshops for renowned Hip Hop theatre company ZooNation at festivals such as U.Dance by One Dance UK as well as working in schools throughout London for the Step Into Dance programme, a partnership between The Jack Petchey Foundation and The Royal Academy of Dance. Rosie teaches Street Dance to secondary school students as well as SEN students, with her choreography having been performed on prestigious stages such as Sadlers Wells and at The Southbank Centre.
Rosie has lead and delivered dance projects and CPD training for organisations such as Flatfeet and the RAD; judged competitions such as The Great Big Dance Off and led workshops in classes in mainstream, SEN and PRU settings.
Trained by Urban Strides to gain her Government Accredited APDA qualification in teaching authentic Street Dance, she continues to train extensively in the street dance styles. Learning through the pioneers themselves, such as Popin Pete (Electric Boogaloos, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown), Toni Basil (The Lockers), Buddha Stretch (Mop Top, Will Smith, Michael Jackson), Brooklyn Terry (Elite Force Crew) and Mr Wiggles (Rock Steady Crew, Zulu Nation).
As well as renowned dancers such as Jardy Santiago, BBoy Focus (Flo Mo Crew), Mechanikool (Got To Dance, Diversity), Kate Prince (ZooNation), Kenrick Sandy OBE (Boy Blue Ent) and many more. Rosie continuously trains and learns from the best of the best to ensure that her teaching and knowledge is of the highest standard.
Holding an Enhanced DBS, Public Liability Insurance, First Aid qualification, Safeguarding training and Child Protection certificate level 1, our founder always ensures the safety of her students comes first.
